Nawaz’s counsel objects to comments made by information minister

Economic Issues News: Deposed premier Nawaz Sharif’s counsel was instructed on Friday to file an appeal after he objected to recent comments by Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry regarding the release of Sharif family members from prison.
After the release of the former premier and his family members, Chaudhry said Nawaz will be sent ‘back to where he came from’. “We will send Nawaz back from where he came and he will continue coming in and out of jail,” he said.
Nawaz’s lawyer raised the matter in court and said the court’s credibility would be affected if it did not take notice of the minister’s comments.
The court instructed Nawaz’s lawyer to file an appeal and said if a notice is to be issued to Chaudhry, the court will do it.
Chaudhry has since tweeted saying “Khwaja Haris is a senior lawyer, if he had not taken millions in fees, he too would agree that Nawaz Sharif should be punished. It is unfortunate that such foolproof cases are taking years to conclude. The opposition has no leadership, nor vision, politics are being conducted just to save money. More than 50 should go to jail.”
